Buying land is one of the biggest decisions a family makes. The public Deed-to-Map service lets anyone check a deed reference before money changes hands.

Three results, never one green tick

The portal deliberately shows three independent answers. Document tells you whether a registry copy exists and, if you upload your copy, whether it is identical. Registry status tells you whether the instrument is registered, under review, restricted or superseded. Boundary tells you whether the parcel outline comes from a certified survey.

Your file never leaves your phone

When you compare a scanned copy, your browser computes a SHA-256 fingerprint locally. Only that fingerprint is sent — never the document itself.

“Not located” is not “forged”

Many historical deeds are still on paper. If a reference is not found, visit an LLA office for a manual search before drawing conclusions.
