About the Liberia Land Authority
Established in 2016 with statutory responsibility for land governance, deed and land registration, surveying, the national cadastre and customary tenure.
One national land information system
Smart Land 360 supports — never replaces — the Authority's departments: land registry, surveys and mapping, spatial data management, valuation and customary land.
Legal, survey and financial approvals stay with the officers who hold that authority. Software records and checks each step; it never registers a deed, certifies a boundary or resolves a dispute on its own.
Land registry
Deed recording, indexing and certified copies.
Surveys & mapping
National cadastre, survey review and certification.
Customary land
Community land recognition under the 2018 Land Rights Act.
Valuation & revenue
Assessed values, prescribed fees and reconciliation.
Built for trust
Separation of duties
Whoever submits a record can never approve it. High-risk steps need two officers.
Tamper-evident history
Every action is written to an append-only, hash-chained audit log.
Privacy by design
Public results never expose identity documents, signatures or personal contacts.
